Arrive at Chennai International Airport. After completing immigration formalities and collecting your luggage, our representative will be waiting for you outside the terminal.

Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Standard check-in time is 2:00 p.m. / check-out is by 12:00 p.m.

After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Chennai.

Start with a heritage walk :

George Town – This area has evolved from the 17th-century trading post of the East India Company to become the bustling commercial center of modern Chennai. Highlights include China Bazaar Road, Vishnu Temple, Kasi Chetty Charities, Mint Street, Sowcarpet, Armenian Church, and the Madras High Court.

Marina Beach – Stretching nearly 12 kilometers along the Bay of Bengal, Marina Beach is the longest in India and the second longest in the world. It spans from Beasant Nagar in the south to Fort St. George in the north.

Kapleshwar Temple, originally constructed in the 7th century by the Pallavas at the site where Santhome Church now stands. After the Portuguese destroyed the original temple in 1566, the Vijayanagara kings rebuilt it in the traditional Dravidian architectural style.

After breakfast, depart for Mahabalipuram.

Upon arrival, visit :

Shore Temple – This historic temple, constructed in the second half of the 7th century AD, is one of the oldest in South India. Made from granite blocks, it is situated by the coast, overlooking the Bay of Bengal, which is why it is called the Shore Temple.

The Descent of the Ganges – This stunning monolithic sculpture stands 15 feet high and 100 feet long, making it one of the largest and most intricate of its kind in the world. It is adorned with lifelike carvings of humans, elephants, deities, and mythical creatures, all intertwined in a dynamic procession.

Five Rathas – Mahabalipuram is home to around nine monolithic temples, a unique contribution of the Pallava dynasty to Indian architecture. Locally referred to as “Rathas” (meaning chariots), these temples resemble the ceremonial chariots used in temple processions.

Arjuna’s Penance – This massive bas-relief, measuring 27 x 9 meters, is one of the largest in the world. It features over 100 carvings of deities, animals, and sages. The relief depicts the legendary story from the Mahabharata, where Arjuna, one of the Pandavas, performed severe penance to Lord Shiva in order to receive a divine and powerful bow.

After breakfast, depart for Pondicherry.

Upon reaching Pondicherry, visit:

 Sri Aurobindo Ashram – This peaceful sanctuary offers a tranquil environment for those seeking spiritual growth and inner calm. The serene atmosphere encourages meditation, and the calm surroundings will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. The beautiful setting of the ashram creates an almost magical ambiance, making it a perfect place for reflection.

Auroville – A unique international township founded in 1965 by Mirra Alfassa, also known as The Mother, Auroville was conceived as a place where people from all walks of life, regardless of nationality, religion, or background, could live together in peace and harmony. The city is dedicated to the ideals of human unity and is home to residents from around the world.

Pondicherry Beach – Known for its stunning beauty, the beaches of Pondicherry are one of the main attractions for visitors. With golden sands, sparkling blue waters, and a relaxed vibe, these beaches provide a perfect spot to unwind.

Rickshaw Ride through the Local Market – This fun exploration of Pondicherry’s Tamil quarter will give you a glimpse of the traditional homes, bustling local markets, and places of worship in the area. The ride offers a unique way to experience the sights and sounds of the city.

After breakfast, depart for Kumbakonam.

Pichavaram Mangrove Forest – Situated between the Vellar Estuary to the north and the Coleroon Estuary to the south, Pichavaram is home to one of the largest mangrove forests in India. The mangroves here form part of the Vellar-Coleroon estuary system, offering a unique ecosystem that’s a haven for wildlife and nature lovers.

Chidambaram Nataraja Temple – This ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in his Nataraja (cosmic dancer) form is one of the Five Sabhas, the divine dance halls where Shiva is believed to have performed his cosmic dance. It is also a Pancha Bootha Sthalam, representing Akasha (Space), one of the five elements of nature.

Upon arrival in Kumbakonam, visit:

Bronze Factory – Kumbakonam is renowned for its long tradition of bronze idol making. The skilled artisans here are famous for creating intricate bronze idols, often referred to as the “bronze icons of Swamimalai,” a unique and highly respected craft of the region.

Darasuram Airavatesvara Temple – This historic temple is a masterpiece of Chola architecture and art, and is one of the three temples known as the “Great Chola Living Temples.” It has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its exquisite design and cultural significance.

Mahamaham Temple – Located in Kumbakonam, this sacred temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, with Goddess Visalatchi as the consort. The temple features shrines associated with the Nine Rivers, and it is particularly considered auspicious for women, especially young girls.

After breakfast, depart for Tanjore.

On arrival in Tanjore, after lunch, transfer to the hotel to relax.

Visit Tanjore:- Thanjavur is a city in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Its many temples include the 11th-century Brihadeeswarar temple, a vast Chola dynasty-era complex with frescoed interiors.

The Thanjavur Maratha Palace: houses the century-old Saraswathi Mahal Library, with palm leaf manuscripts, and the Thanjavur Art Gallery, with bronze statues.

The Tamil University Museum: exhibits coins, folk artifacts and musical instruments. Visit Brihadeeshwara Temple, Thanjavur Royal Palace and Art Gallery.

Brihadeeswarar Temple: It is one of the largest temples in India and is an example of Dravidian architecture during the Chola period. Built by Emperor Raja Raja Chola I and completed in 1010 AD, the temple turned 1000 years old in 2010.

Overnight in Tanjore.

After breakfast, depart for Chettinad.

On the way, visit

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Trichy – Located in the town of Srirangam, this temple is dedicated to Lord Ranganatha, a reclining form of Lord Vishnu. The temple complex, along with its surroundings, spans an impressive 156 acres, making it one of the largest temple complexes in India.

Rock Fort – One of the top attractions in Trichy, the Rock Fort is a massive rock structure that rises 83 meters above sea level. The fort houses a temple at the top, providing stunning views of the city.

Kallanai Dam (Grand Anicut) – Built over the Kaveri River, the Kallanai Dam is one of the oldest water-control structures in the world. It was constructed in the 2nd century AD by the Chola king Karikalan, and it still plays a crucial role in irrigation.

Upon arrival in Chettinad, visit:

Chettinad Palace – Located in the Sivaganga district, the Chettinad Palace is a prime example of the region’s traditional architectural style. This grand palace, built in the 18th century, showcases the opulence and craftsmanship of the Chettinad people.

Chettinad Mansion – Situated in the village of Kanadukathan, the Chettinad Mansion is a historic building over a century old. Once a luxurious retreat, it now serves as a heritage property and offers insights into the lifestyle of the Chettiar community.

Afterward, transfer to the hotel.

Vairavanpatti Temple – This 19th-century temple is steeped in local legends. It is dedicated to Sivapurandevi and Lord Aatkondanathar, with other deities also being worshiped here.

Soorakudi Temple – Located about 10 kilometers outside Karaikudi, this temple is on the route to Chettinad railway station and Kanadukathan. The temple is inspired by Soorai bushes, which are known for their therapeutic benefits, and it holds a unique charm for visitors.

Continue your journey to Madurai.

Upon arrival, visit:

Gandhi Museum – Housed in the historic Rani Mangammal Palace, this museum brings the Indian freedom struggle to life. It also highlights the Gandhian movement, featuring an art gallery that showcases the principles and life of Mahatma Gandhi.

Check-in at the hotel and take some time to relax.

In the afternoon, visit the Meenakshi Temple – Dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi, a form of Parvati, and Lord Sundareshwarar, a form of Shiva, this temple is an architectural masterpiece built in the 14th century. The temple is renowned for its four grand Gopurams (towers), with the tallest rising to about 170 feet.

Flower Market – A vibrant marketplace where you can explore a variety of fresh flowers. You can even get flowers made into garlands, bouquets, and other decorative items, skillfully crafted by local florists.

Evening  Pooja Ceremony – At the Meenakshi Temple, the idols of Lord Sundareshwar and Goddess Meenakshi are carried in a grand procession to their chambers, where they are kept for the night. The ceremony is a mesmerizing spiritual experience, steeped in tradition.

Note: A dress code is required to enter the Meenakshi Temple. Visitors must wear half-sleeved or full-sleeved shirts/tops and pants. Sleeveless tops, shorts, and skirts are not allowed. Non-Hindus are not permitted to enter the sanctum sanctorum.

Overnight stay in Madurai

After breakfast, depart for Thekkady.

Upon arrival, visit :

Spice Plantation – Thekkady is renowned for its spice plantations, offering a unique experience to visitors. The region’s cool and moderate climate is ideal for growing spices like cardamom, which thrive in these conditions. As a result, Thekkady and its surroundings are abundant with fragrant spice gardens.

Elephant Junction – Located near Kumily, Elephant Junction offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about elephants up close. Here, you can enjoy an elephant ride, participate in an elephant bath, and even help shower these majestic creatures. It’s an exciting and educational activity for both children and adults.

Boat Ride at Periyar Lake – The Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is famous for its boat rides on Periyar Lake, which is managed by the Kerala Forest and Wildlife Department. The lake attracts thousands of visitors each year who come to witness the stunning landscapes and wildlife.

Kalaripayattu Performance – Kalaripayattu, one of the oldest and most advanced martial arts in the world, originated in Kerala. The training begins with a full-body oil massage to enhance flexibility, followed by incredible feats such as chattom (jumping), ottam (running), and marichil (somersaulting). It’s a fascinating display of skill and tradition.

After breakfast, drive to Munnar.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and proceed with the day’s sightseeing.

Pothamedu Viewpoint: Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Munnar from Pothamedu, a hilltop location offering breathtaking vistas of mist-covered hills and lush green valleys, all gently caressed by cool mountain breezes. It’s the perfect spot to take in the natural beauty of the region.

Pallivasal Falls: A hidden gem, Pallivasal Falls is one of the most scenic spots in Munnar. Formed by the Muthirappuzhayar River, this picturesque waterfall is especially stunning during the monsoon season when the water cascades over rocks in a spectacular display, offering a refreshing experience.

Blossom Park: Set in one of India’s most beautiful locations, Blossom Park is a delightful spot to unwind. The park offers a variety of activities such as boating, cycling, and skating. Overnight in Munnar.

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of exploration in Munnar.

Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays): Tea has played a significant role in Munnar’s history. To learn about the origins of the tea industry in the area, visit the Tata Tea Museum, established in 2005. The museum showcases photographs, old machinery, and exhibits that chronicle the journey of tea cultivation in Munnar.

Echo Point: Located around 15 km from Munnar, Echo Point is famous for its natural echo phenomenon. At an altitude of about 600 feet, it’s a favorite spot for visitors to enjoy a leisurely walk through lush greenery. The site is ideal for picnics and photography, making it a great place for families and nature lovers alike.

Mattupetty: This popular spot in Munnar is famous for its picturesque dam and lake, making it a favorite among tourists. The peaceful surroundings attract many visitors who enjoy spending a relaxing afternoon in the area. It’s a perfect place for a picnic or a boat ride.

Photo Point: Just 3 km from Munnar’s main market, Photo Point offers a picturesque setting that’s perfect for photographers. Surrounded by the famous Tata Tea Gardens and silver oaks, this spot is ideal for snapping stunning photos and enjoying the tranquil beauty of the hill station.

Kundala Dam: Situated about 20 km from Munnar, Kundala Dam is a serene and beautiful location. Built on the Periyar River, it’s set against the backdrop of the Western Ghats and offers scenic views. The area is also home to cherry trees, which bloom twice a year, further enhancing the natural beauty of the place.

Munnar Rose Garden: A must-visit for flower enthusiasts, the Rose Garden in Munnar boasts a stunning collection of roses in nearly every color. In addition to roses, the garden is home to many rare species of flowers and herbaceous plants. Behind the garden, you’ll find lush tea, cardamom, and vanilla plantations, offering a peaceful place for a stroll. The garden also grows tropical fruits like strawberries, lychees, and amla, as well as vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and beans.

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey.

Upon arrival, board your Houseboat – In Alleppey, you’ll embark on a tranquil houseboat cruise. This serene ride through the backwaters of Kerala is the perfect way to enjoy the picturesque landscape, with its lush greenery and calm waters. The houseboat offers a peaceful retreat and the chance to relax in comfort.

Alleppey, often referred to as the “Venice of the East,” is famous for its beautiful backwaters and scenic landscapes. The houseboat cruise here is one of the best ways to experience the natural beauty of this charming town.

Shikara boat ride through the narrow canals. After disembarking from your houseboat, take a smaller boat to explore the local villages and observe the daily life of the people who live along the banks. The scenery is unchanged by time, with endless stretches of rice fields and coconut groves gently swaying in the breeze.

After breakfast, depart for Kochi.

Mattancherry Area: This vibrant neighborhood is a melting pot of cultures, with people from various linguistic and ethnic backgrounds. Here, you’ll find a mix of churches, mosques, synagogues, and agraharams (traditional Brahmin settlements), alongside colonial-era buildings that reflect both a rich historical past and a harmonious present.

Chinese Fishing Nets: The iconic Chinese fishing nets are made from teak wood and bamboo poles, operating on a balance system. These large, 10-meter-high structures are fixed along the beach, with nets that extend approximately 20 meters over the water. It’s a unique way of fishing that has been practiced here for centuries.

Jewish Street: Stroll through Jewish Street, where you’ll find a variety of antique shops offering curios, traditional wooden furniture, carved brass and bronze sculptures, and jewelry. The shopkeepers are happy to share the history of the items they sell, making for an enriching shopping experience.

Paradesi Synagogue: (Closed on Friday and Saturday) Located in the heart of Jewish Town, the Paradesi Synagogue is over a century old and houses numerous rare antiques. This historic site attracts many visitors and is a charming addition to the picturesque Mattancherry area.

Dutch Palace: (Closed on Saturday) Despite its name, the Dutch Palace was actually built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The Dutch later made some cosmetic repairs, but the palace retains its original Portuguese architectural influence. It stands as a testament to the colonial history of Kochi.

Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Cross: The Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Cross in Fort Kochi is one of Kerala’s nine basilicas. Known for its beauty and historical significance, this church is a must-visit for anyone interested in the region’s religious and architectural heritage.

Dhobi Khana: Visit Dhobi Khana, where the Vannan community, traditionally Tamil-speaking, has been practicing laundry work for generations. This age-old tradition dates back to the colonial period, providing insight into the local customs and way of life.
